The Digital Marketing Deception – Quantity over Quality
Overview
The common approach today with most digital marketing companies is to lock you in to a budget and a monthly commitment with no guarantee of a healthy return on your investment. Can they promise a 5x return? 10x return?, I would say if they are promising you any return they are not being honest. The honest approach to digital marketing is to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy and identify who your best customer is. You will then select the best channels that engage your target customer and then set a small budget to discover the level of engagement and ultimately set your budget around that. If the due diligence is not spent up front then don’t waste your precious marketing dollars on that firm.
A successful sales strategy also requires a strong lead generation initiative. A combination of face-to-face marketing (networking, conferences and event marketing) and a blend of digital marketing. Cultivating leads into customers is the best way to ensure business growth. Tools are available to achieve this result, but integration and implementation of these tools can be a challenge. The key is to maximize your various lead generation channels to capture your audience and nurture it. Compelling and timely messages are used across all channels for an omni-channel experience.

Email Marketing
Email marketing is one of the most effective tactics for driving sales, but don’t take our word for it. According to a study by ExactTarget, 77% of consumers prefer to receive permission-based marketing communications through email. Quality communication with your prospects and customers can get you closer to that nirvana of people actually looking forward to your message.
Video Marketing
Bringing creativity and a fresh approach to your video marketing campaigns. Video should be used to capture your audience and wow them with a message that delivers insight and spurs action. Some video is produced with a grassroots approach and goes viral with millions of viewers – other videos can be scripted and well-thought to deliver a strong value add message. Statistics show that sites like YouTube, Rumble and Vimeo are growing at a rapid pace – more rapidly than any cable or network channel.
Social Media Marketing (SMM)
For the first time in history, companies can listen to their customers and provide a product or service directly to that customer with a simple conversation. Through social media marketing, you can actually know your customer personally. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and a plethora of other social platforms, gives you an advantage over your competition. You can customize every post messaging to reach your customers in real-time. Moz reports, “The importance of social media to web marketing can’t be overstated. 72% of online adults use social networking sites, and YouTube now reaches more U.S. adults aged 18-34 than any cable network. With that kind of traffic, it’s no wonder marketers now use these networks to interact with their customers.”

Your website is the vine and the landing pages are the branches. Each page contains valuable information that your customers need to see. These pages will be customized and search engine optimized because content development is essential in generating and capturing qualified, targeted leads. I deliver years of experience in innovative solutions … solutions that will attract and engage your audience with a strong call to action and a simplified lead capture tool. Relevant images and strong text is the priceless content that will attract your new customers. Key messaging will be delivered to communicate your value proposition.
Network Marketing
Having spent most of my life in the marketing space, I have been able to achieve the biggest growth through face-to-face marketing. When you consider the balance of digital vs. in-person marketing you start to realize that digital can bring you quantity, but only face-to-face relationships and trust building can bring long-term, qualified customers. I would highly recommend you start with a local network group like H7, or a chamber in your town or a host of other charities to grow your business.
