My Name is Doug Wade, I am a graduate of Central Academy of Commercial Art in Cincinnati. My love and passion has always been to support ministry and non-profits with graphics and communications. I owned a design company, Wade Design, specializing in branding and web development from 1994-2005. In the early 2000’s we were approached by Toward Independence to design a new corporate logo for their ministry.

I began to study Toward Independence to understand the unique offering of supporting those that are under served and challenged but yet have superior talents they could offer the community. I especially appreciated their love for art and offering those talents to bless others. This really hit home for me.

The colors chosen represent something beautiful and organic. Natural colors all taken from creation… browns, greens and subdued colors to communicate the beauty of God’s creation. The intertwining of the vines signifies community and support. The leaf at the center shows that life comes from support and community. We were meant to flourish and grow together.

These are all God centered ideas. We are all one community; we are all created in the image of God. God wants us to flourish and be fulfilled. God has given each of us skills and talents that He has designed as a blessing for others.

Toward Independence understands this and brings these truths to life in Xenia and around the world. It has been my pleasure to partner with them.

In Christ and for His Glory,

Doug Wade
